Restylane® and Perlane®: Long-lasting for about six months
Restylane® and Juvederm® are made of hyaluronic acid. In the human body, natural hyaluronic acid provides volume and fullness to the skin. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane and Perlane has been modified slightly to last longer than the body's hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane and Perlane is produced by a biotechnical process.
Restylane® and Juvederm® contain no animal proteins. This limits any risk of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reactions. No allergy testing is required before use.
During treatment, the crystal-clear Restylane gel is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The gel produces volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. When enhancing lips or facial contours, Restylane adds volume and shape to the treated area.
